D5.9 Report on usability, accessibility and acceptability methodology
The present report presents an evaluation procedure designed to carry out a preliminary assessment of the accessibility, usability and acceptability of the CONFIDENCE system.
The aim of the evaluation is to gather data about the users’ performance and opinions in order to provide the developers of the system with the first impressions by the end users, while they interact with the device and wear the tags.
For the usability and accessibility evaluations, we propose to collect behavioural (i.e., reaction times, number of errors committed) as well as psychological data (i.e., sense of effort or harassment due to the tags) while the participants interact with the CONFIDENCE interface during an alarm simulation and while they are wearing the tags.
With regards to the acceptability assessment, instead, a quick structured interview was developed in order to summarize the first opinions and concerns of the end users about the whole system.
The evaluation of the accessibility, usability and acceptability of the CONFIDENCE system will be carried out within one single session, about 3 hours long, for each user. It is planned to recruit about 30 participants aged >65y.
