Abstract:

 

In this work, a new Time of Arrival based ranging estimator is proposed for a UWB receiver. A method to obtain the optimum parameters of ranging algorithms is also presented. The proposed estimator, with its optimum parameters, presents better accuracy than other works in the literature in dense multipath environments. Measurements are presented that demonstrate the good performance of the estimator.
